Budapest is a real speeding and boasting European entertainment centre, housing all kinds and sorts of distracting venues, including festivals, fairs, parades, shows, and concerts.

The concerts, taken place within the city borders, may be classified according to their types:

• Classic music concerts
• Organ concerts
• Open-air concerts
• Light music concerts

Among the most spectacular classic music concerts are usually singled out the Budapest Spring Festival and the Budapest Autumn Festival. These venues are known to expose a variety of diverse programs each year, including musical, dance, opera, and operetta, and ballet shows, and performances.

Organ concerts are held, of course, in refined Budapest churches, and the most frequent venues for these exquisite shows are the Matthias Church, set in the Castle District, the Baroque church of St. Anne, and the St. Stephens Bassilica.

Open-air concerts include Buda Castle Summer Night Concerts, holding in the historic Dominican Court of the Hilton Hotel. The shows, organizing during these concerts, are varied in terms of music played: from jazz to opera!

Symphonic Concerts, held on the spacious St. Stephens Square belong also to open-air illustrious concerts. It takes place in the centre of the city and usually in July.

Light music concerts gather pop, rock, jazz and other music singers from all over the world. The largest events, as a rule, take place at the Budapest Sportarena or at the Puskás Ferenc Stadium and they are: Budapest Spring Festival, Sziget Festival, the Budapest Parade, and the Connection Day Concert.
